Pros

Placed in a good position for another company to buy them out

Cons

Gender and Age discrimination. Senior management in Underwriting likes to see people fight with them when it should be collaborative. Management prior to 2016 are pushed aside for egotists. Relationships with distribution headed south. No regard for hard work with no training and well below staffed.

Pros

401k match, decent schedule, try to build company culture

Cons

No training and development, extremely outdated systems and product. Systems shut down constantly on day to day basis. Policies in place do not accurately monitor your performance. Management does not care about lower level employee satisfaction. Policies put in place to combat reckless behavior actually rewards that same behavior. Overall the company is cheap, they don't invest in the improvement of the business as a whole.

Pros

They have a good 401k matching program, they have a good location in the loop, they have potential to improve against their competitors

Cons

The new COO has shown minimal vision and instead has a narrow focus on short term moves to reduce expenses. If CNA is not careful J will cause irreparable harm to the company and culture.
