Pros

Upper management is extremely accessible. Product leaders are there to help and take advice. Underwriters Can work closely with top leaders at the company

Cons

Frequent turnover and dishonesty about job roles. Mid level managers are not well trained and some manager roles seem redundant. Sales role disguised as a technical underwriting role. Pay is low for amount of work you end up taking over from others due to frequent turnover

Pros

Clean working environment, Office is located in nice area with restaurants and convenience stores, You'll obtain the Texas All Lines insurance adjuster's license, It'll give you great experience to move on

Cons

Sitting in front of a computer at a desk in a cubicle for 8+ hours a day Claim work load is intense - always seems to be someone on vacation (stress is high) Managers DO NOT assist in the handling of claims - they simply review what you've done and critique you (often pretentiously and condescendingly) My personal manager was passive aggressive and brought his personal issues to work You're constantly being hounded on how much production you can offer when the problem lies in their intake system and insurance policies They claim to support diversity, but found out firsthand that they'd rather you conform to traditional corporate monotony.

Pros

Pay is more competitive than competition

Cons

Unattainable goals for growth, lack of training, lack of communication, company is downsizing, and company is headed south. In retrospect, I wish I would have known about the revolving door and the desperateness of the company before I started. It's not a very stable environment.
