Pros

Better than panhandling but not by much.

Cons

Try calling in to HR. 30 min wait and you'll not be paid for your time waiting. Not being paid for time is a common occurrence with Crossmark. After spending 30 mins on the line waiting to speak with HR I was told that I would have to contact payroll for my issue. I asked for a direct line to payroll. Guess what? There is none and that we have to contact only via email. I explained that every email I've sent was sent back saying I was blocked. She seemed to not care. Surprise. If you get sick and are unable to access your timesheet before the cut off you are not paid. The entire system is flawed. You are asked to enter your time on a timesheet, but you're not paid for the time that you spend entering your time. You are not paid for reading tickets before going to a job. You are not paid for a lot of your time. The company sends you a ton of stuff and expects you to store it at your house. I am not paid for storing this crap. Why should I have to take up an entire room? This company does not care about you as a person. They see you as a cog in the machine. Go work fast food or delivery or anything. Just don't do this.

Pros

Beautiful campus, covered parking, cafeteria on site, close to other retail and restaurants. Very short commute for me.

Cons

This was the coldest and meanest place I've ever worked. Miserable experience. I think the experience is directly related to your manager and my manager was a nightmare. I think the CEO is good and maybe next level (VP) but after that all bets are off. There is a lot of turnover either because of layoffs or people escaping as soon as possible. I had 3 managers in 1 year. My managers were micro-managers who stalked me. I would sit at my desk and notice them walking by and wonder if they were going to stop in to talk to me. Never did. They were just checking to see if I was at my desk. Incredible. They track people using the Skype app and it was constant monitoring. It isn't because I was a slacker as I worked long hours. Zero flexibility for me although I saw people all around me who had a better situation. As a new employee, no one spoke to me. It was amazing. I would go weeks without an in-person conversation. My client was located in another state but internally no one talked to me. I tried to break into some of the cliques and nothing. Our team had a 30 min touchbase 3 times a week with the manager who had nothing to do with our projects. It was all just for checking up on us. Nothing genuine or even interest in our work. A colleague started months after I did and she walked out because she saw how I was treated and didn't think that was a place she wanted to work. Everyone keeps their head down and stays to themselves. There is a lot of work so there is no time to socialize. Pay is extremely low. Get your experience and move on.

Pros

A paycheck.....and even then a poor a.s.s. paycheck. People we are so much more valuable! Because of us you all in the office have jobs ! Currently working for their competitor at $3.00 more per hour than what crossmark paid.

Cons

Management, Pay, no wage increase after 5 years. God forbid if you ask for one as they tell you..."Your lucky you even have a job" the company, is not making enough money right now. All kinds of excuses. Hardly any reimbursement for using your car paid @.25 per mile. They expect you to make this job your MOST important job and treat it better than you do your full time job... Once again I was a part time merchandising rep! I received no medical, dental or vision insurance....why would I jeopardize my benefits from my full time job? This company will treat you like a dog, waiting for a treat! DON'T APPLY AND RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN !
