Generally tend to fill openings, especially in support roles, with freshers. Compensation sucks, and pay hikes are very little compared to industry levels. Some roles are filled with overqualified people, and vice versa. Talent management and learning has to be employee initiated, and informal. Generally no planning as to how to develop and maintain an employee.

CSC seems first and foremost in shifting work offshore and consolidating operations. Senior management paints rosy pictures about resources and savings to management that fail to materialize. Offshore resources generally don't have the qualifications that are advertized. The employee review process is a joke, and the beaurocracy is such that their is little incentive or reward for doing a great job. Employees who do the minimum are rewarded just as much as those that go above and beyond. Part of this is the outsourcing model where employees go from having incentives to help the users to a culture where the only desire is to bill as many hours as you can. Also, when we were transiioned, many of the more talented employees left for other jobs.
