Pros

Some of the best reasons to work at Coalition Technologies, well I could write a book. I have been working at Coalition since April. From my short time here, I have met tons of amazing people. Everyone is very approachable and more than happy to help you with any question you may have. We are a fully remote company, giving us the freedom to work wherever we want, while accommodating to the business hours of our physical location. Keeping this in mind, there is also lots of room for flexibility. At Coalition, you will find a lovely, dedicated and extremely talented team of Designers, Developers, SEO/PPC Analysts, Web DPs, Marketing DPs, Digital and Copy Strategists, Team Leads, the list goes on and on. My position is Digital Producer (DP), which essentially translates into Project Manager. I am in constant communication with our internal teams making sure all deadlines are met, and also meeting with clients being the liaise between them and our internal members. The last thing I want to mention, is that this company is extremely different from the stereotypical corporation. We are a close-knit company, reaching up to 200-300 employees. Our President, COO holds weekly meetings for our entire team to review important incoming topics. We have talent shows annually, profit share opportunities, monthly reviews from our team leads (which lead to promotions!), and much more. I have had upwards of 10 jobs in my working career, and I can proudly say that this is the first time that I enjoy coming into work. Everyone is super helpful, very nice to talk to, and extremely resourceful. I am extremely proud to say that I am a part of this team, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for my career here at Coalition!

Cons

The only downside to the job that I can think of, is scheduling a meeting for multiple team members and trying to find a time that works for everyone.

Pros

- I enjoy accessibility to our leadership. I have made suggestions for improvements and received kudos for my work. Leadership continuously asks for ideas for improvements. -I normally work 8 hours a day. If I work extra, I can take off those hours on another day, with approval, of course. The team allows for flex time once an employee becomes a reliable performer. -I have already earned my first raise due to my performance and am about halfway to earning the next one. I have never received raises so quickly. -I also was earning some nice bonuses before the economy got wonky. Hope that comes back again soon. -I love the people I work with. They are so intelligent and pleasant. Everyone is willing to help. I have never worked with such amazing people. -I have worked in jobs before that were truly toxic: 1) my boss would stand around the corner and listen to see if we were working and then yell at us. 2) another boss continuously broke laws and took advantage of staff knowing he would unlikely get caught. When he does, he pays lawyers to settle the issue. To me, CT is not toxic. Nobody has ever been unpleasant to me. I have work/life balance. -Many complain about the monitoring software. At first it felt awkward, but now I don't even notice it. I just do my work. I work on multiple monitors to be as productive and organized as possible. My camera takes pictures of me working. I don't always look fantastic but that's okay. When I need a break, I take a break. I turn the software off. If I work extra on the weekend, I turn the software on. If my manager agrees (never has declined), I'll take that time off another day. -I get to meet and work with people all over the world, which is incredible. I get to make people feel good about themselves and encourage them. -I get to tweak my processes to become as efficient and effective as possible. I always try to come up with ways to make the team faster and more efficient. -I do not feel micromanaged. I have control over planning my day and completing my work. Sometimes another thing takes priority, so I have learned to leave buffers in my day to allow for that. -I take time to chat with my team and build relationships. This is important for mental health and for making sure we all work well together. -Leadership helps us understand how the company is doing, usually on a weekly Zoom meeting. Sometimes other leads step in and share information about their jobs and teams, too. I really enjoy getting to understand that better.

Cons

-My starting base pay was less than I would have liked. However, I am grateful for the raises. -The work is truly fast-paced. We currently receive over 15,000 applicants a month, so that's a lot to deal with. Our client-facing people and technical teams are also dealing with a good number of projects/clients/tasks. -Given the high quantity of candidates, there is often a lag in getting back to them to move forward. If candidates do not move forward after applying, they don't receive a rejection, which is something I don't feel good about. -We hire for many different jobs, so we are expected to know a lot of information. I've had to come up with ways to get myself really organized to handle all the information. I expect other departments have to deal with a lot of different details too. If you are not organized, things can slip through the cracks. If you cannot stay organized, you will not do well. -You also have to be really good at time management. I'm not sure that is a con, but for some people, it will not be a fit. You must plan and prioritize your day and then check over everything to make sure nothing gets lost. You also have to allow time for reprioritizing your day. -I wish we had more team building exercises and get togethers. I feel that could definitely be improved. It is suggested that we take the initiative and step up to make it happen. Unfortunately, with the fast pace, I have difficulty finding time to create those opportunities.

Really appreciate a thorough and honest review that details your experience. It sounds like your experience is what we aim for with everyone (and frankly, what I believe we're closer to providing to everyone around the world who works with us). Please keep the feedback coming and we'll keep looking for opportunities to improve.
