REMOTE LIES - Micro management down to 15 minute webcam screenshots

Pros

we are alive and breathing?

Cons

Takes a photo every 15 mins on the webcam to make sure you're sitting at your computer. The CEO Joel Gross sent an email out to tell us to be on time at our computers (few minutes after the start time lol). Not "looking at the webcams" at all. I think the most annoying part is they talk about work life and balance. "mental health" is priority yet they are torturing us and treating us like sweatshop workers. Also there has to be some sort of legality issues of taking pictures of

Yawn. At some point these (probably fake) over the top reviews have got to get some red flags from Glassdoor. Why would someone work here for one to two years, and claim we're lying along the way? About things we publish before you even start your first day? Comparing a work from home, 8 hour or less a day job at a computer to a sweatshop? It defies logic. We're up front that we use time tracking tools to enable a global workforce that has been remote first for over a decade. Team members can turn on and off their time tracking whenever they are working or not working. Its simple and straightforward. Clock in to work- then clock out. That's not complicated at all. There's no deceit involved. Don't get frustrated if you're trying to cheat us or your teammates or our clients by misrepresenting how you're using the time you're reporting as working. If you ever really did work here (and aren't just part of this recent pattern of negative reviews without any reliable personal insights) best of luck. If you're just getting paid to plaster us with negative reviews, worst of luck to you.

Pros

Remote work and lots of learning opportunities

Cons

Management is only interested in the bottom line. Employees are not announced when they are hired, but emails are sent when people get fired. Enough said.

This isn't true. We make a near weekly announcement to the whole company when team members are added. Given this person claims to have started working on last Thursday, I'd say there is a strong possibility its a fake review. (We don't start any new team members on any Thursday). Glassdoor once again shows its inability to provide a fair, noncorrupted market for information on employers.

Pros

I've been with CT for a little over 7 months now, and intend to stick with them for the foreseeable future. They are a truly remote company and have been for far longer than most others in many industries. If you are looking for a WFH opportunity, a CEO that won't make you come into the office for no reason, and you work hard, CT is a great fit. And we've got an excellent profit share system, too 😉

Cons

No company foosball table :(

We'll get a foosball table set up in the Metaverse office (that's not a real thing for anyone reading this). Thank you for your feedback!
