Pros

-Good Hours (sometimes) -Good Vacation/Flex Hours -Money reimbursed for school (with a C) -Promotes from within

Cons

You have to kiss up to make it, to put it bluntly. You can work hard & do your best, but if you dont kiss up to the right manager or director, your gone or will be treated horribly! Managers/Directors over step Supervisors & allow sales reps to misrepresent deals to get sales. Its okay to lie to a customer to make a deal. So if you dont have a conscience, this job is for you. Not to mention most customers are elderly, on fixed incomes. There is no wiggle room to ever assist customers. Also, if they want someone gone, they will be gone. There is always a way to get rid of someone. And if you're in fear, dont go to HR, they wont listen. So you & another employee (a favorite) can make the same small mistakes and you can easily be let go as the other is rewarded. Its like high school with the leadership team, if you dont suck up to the popular manager/director, you will be excluded. They will find a reason for you not to participate in event or get a bonus even when every other supervisor/lead is involved. Just unfair all around!

Pros

Decent pay, great benefits, more than average vacation time, lots of perks like free food and an on site gym. The nicest call center I've ever worked in with a ton of windows and natural light.

Cons

Systems were constantly going down. While I was there management instituted a major push to add new customers faster than the infrastructure could handle. Over the course of my time there the job evolved from "need based sales" to a much more high pressure sales environment, and in addition to misleading mailers sent to customers, management actively turned their heads from high performing sales reps who cut corners and mislead customers.
