Pros

Nice location, some good people

Cons

-not enough pay -promotions are political -gm will pay out more money to girls he talks to (see above) -lack of stability (summer days will be 8-10 hr shifts, other seasons 3-4 if not busy) -staff food with discount is still pricey -some sous chefs would give expos trouble for simply doing their job, creating a trickle effect within the kitchen team -some locations would have you close then open the next morning I worked for this company for almost two years and had enough of it. Too much dysfuntion from the top down.

Not a great job to work at as a Hostess

Pros

- Entry level position that pays above minimum wage, with regular salary reviews. Compared to other entry level jobs, my hourly pay was quite good. But compared to everyone else that worked there, it was horrible. - Management is generally very organized and friendly - Always got as many hours as I needed

Cons

- Nearly impossible to be promoted to serving if you were initially hired for another position (only happened once at the location I worked at) - Hostesses were required to clear and set tables for the servers (for entire 4-8 hr shifts, not just once in a while) . This should NOT be part of a hostess' duties! - The tips that hostesses received (IF they had been "promoted" to the tipping pool), were extremely minimal - Breaks were 15 minutes, unpaid, no matter how long your shift was (usually 4-8 hours). - Much tension between the more senior & more junior Hostesses - was unclear who would be "leading"

Pros

Flexibility, youll be able to take all the time off that you wish!

Cons

If it is not patio season, and you have not been there for at least 4+ years, then you are essentially unemployed. You will be called off the majority of your shifts, usually they call you off 1.5 hours before, but sometimes they will call you off when you’re on your way to work. Communication between managers is abysmal and you only receive perks at work if you are friends with the managers. There are different standards set depending on your status in the restaurant. There have also been multiple instances of my clock-in time’s being adjusted inappropriately. For example, I would clock in for 5pm-12am and my clock-in would be changed to 5pm-11pm after I left the restaurant. This would happen multiple times a week and has lead to a backlog of unpaid wages, and unfortunately it has happened to multiple servers. Managers will also frequently “cut” you when your section is full, forcing you to finish up your tables unpaid, or give them all up and leave. To be honest, I have worked at many restaurants and this was by far the worst experience. It essentially felt like I was being scammed the whole time.
