Pros

-Great people -Free Golf Product -Great discount on Golf products -Nice Office Environment

Cons

New Management makes it hard to move up in the company. They keep cutting people and making teams much smaller. You work more and get paid the same. If you want to move up, sucking up is the only way. It is all about being in the right place at the right time. Be sure to negotiate your salary when you first join Callaway. You will climb up a very tall ladder from the 1st salary that was negotiated.

Pros

The pay was competitive with other local factories and was --- in 2005 --- a great place to work. The shifts were 12 hours but they rotated workers to prevent injuries and to supply workers with more knowledge of all aspects of the reaction injection mold department, a high- security access area in a company of approximately 1,400 employees locally.

Cons

As the owners shifted focus on worker safety, rewarding almost unheard of excellent production (in 3 years we almost tripled production rates while bringing 1st time pass rates from 67% to 99.2%) and the appreciation of hard working employees to focus on profits for management, stockholders and owners, the company decided to move operations to Mexico in order to pay employees 1/5th the scale of Americans who appreciated and valued their jobs and did them well!!!

Pros

Excellent job security, always positions to transfer to, open door policy

Cons

Extreme favoritism and discrimination. Leadership doesn't research comments or complaints and assumes they have the whole story. Leadership, including HR, holds "grudges" over honest mistakes for years at a time. If you aren't a "favorite" employee, you will have no future with the company. Upper management complains about too many overtime hours but also schedules 10 hour shifts for 6 days straight.
