The company used to be more "employee-centric" but perks that were given before have gradually been taken away. The company is asking employees to do more and more, but only recognizing it's employees in ways that the executive leadership likes to be recognized. Not a lot of work/life balance. Some bureaucracy and favoritism but I guess that's to be expected at a company this size. Not a lot of development opportunities for leaders, but they are expected to develop their staff.

They have a huge code base writen by short term contractors so it is all over the place. There is no time to learn the monsterous systems and no one has time to train you, but you will definantly have deadlines. You'd better make a short term messy fix, against all best practices and common sense, but what else can you do?
