Thank you for taking time to leave a review. I appreciate your comments that Cambia's work/life balance and "total rewards" were a good fit for you. All of us want to be the decider in our next career move, and I'm sorry to hear that wasn't true for you. To best serve our members, deep transformation is required, and we are moving through that change process. Best wishes to you, and thank you for your time at Cambia and for supporting our members. Cutthroat

Pros

Nice people at the ground level

Cons

Ongoing affiliations are leading to layoffs, stress and since the Sr Leaders are safe, they don't care.

Thank you for posting a review. I'm troubled to read that your experience of Cambia is "cutthroat," as that is not in keeping with our culture. We aspire to achieve results for our members while being trustworthy, inclusive, courageous and innovative. With the turmoil in our industry now, we are all digging deep to be courageous and transform into a stronger, sustainable enterprise that exceeds the needs of our members across our growing geographic footprint. All that being said, however, I appreciate your concerns. If you have specific feedback that you would like to share with me directly, please reach out. Going downhill fast

Business Outlook

Pros

+Flexible work environment (for now) +Acceptable work/life balance (for now) +Lots of career opportunities +Lots of room to learn and grow +Remote work is great but will be going away soon +Job seems stable, only one round of layoffs for the duration of my employment

Cons

-When I first joined Cambia, every employee I met had been there for 5-10+ years and everybody was happy and productive. Many of these people are gone now, and most of them not amicably. Take from that what you will. Turnover has become suspiciously high in the last ~2 years. -All the bad aspects of corporate culture are creeping in and creeping in fast. Mandatory RTO, monitoring work output, heavy top-down business model. Work culture used to be very relaxed and friendly, but definitely not anymore. -Its senior management's way or the highway, they are NOT open to suggestions or alternatives -Monitors employee AI usage (whether or not it makes sense to use it in your current projects or role) and you will be considered a "low performer" if you don't use the AI for some arbitrary amount that some suit in a board room dictated. I was told point blank by management to just query it a certain number of times per day to not end up on their reports. -Due to the nature of many positions, you will expected to be on-call 24/7 for certain periods of time. This worked well with full time work from home but now with RTO you'll have to clock in for a full work day then drive back home and do more work at home. -LOTS of sudden changes to work processes and expectations, most of them completely nonsensical and definitely do not make your job easier. -Use of fear tactics to motivate their employees. On top of bludgeoning their employees with AI, middle management has begun weird sermons on the necessity of 8 hour productive days, and the rapidly shifting expectations of the job market. -The list of expectations and asks are growing, but definitely not the amount of support or help each team gets -All these negative changes correlate pretty closely to when CEO Jared Short and CIO Laurent Rotival began their roles. Accept a role at your own risk while these two maintain their current positions.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I see that you are no longer with Cambia, and I hope your next career step is a great fit for you. You mentioned work/life balance, plentiful career opportunities, and room to learn and grow as positives about your time at Cambia. I'm glad to hear that! You also expressed concern about our evolving hybrid work environment, the use of AI, and frequent changes. It is indeed a time of deep transformation for Cambia and for our entire industry, as we keep pace with unprecedented changes in our lines of business, industry consolidation, and rapid technological advances. Despite those pressures, we're laser-focused on supporting our members, and bringing our brand of non-profit, community-based health insurance to as many people as possible. Thank you again for your feedback, and please feel free to reach out to me directly if you'd like to share more. Elizabeth Hall VP Employee Experience elizabeth.hall@cambiahealth.com
