Pros

Good benefits. I've also made some great friends working here.

Cons

Promotions and raises are for those in the 'clique'... as are bonuses and fringe benefits (like tickets, etc.). Upper level staff (VPs, Principals, etc.) are a joke - have no clue as to what goes into a project, clueless on time management, roles and competency of staff. Senior staff berates and talks down to junior staff. CannonDesign has a 'mentoring' program - that is a joke and only looks good on paper. The company spends who knows how much on marketing to their own staff - and not enough time or money taking care of their staff. Too many senior staff talking the talk but not walking the walk - stop marketing yourself and start actually DOING!!! HR is a joke - make a complaint against someone that is part of the inner circle and you'll probably get fired yourself.

Pros

Successful in terms of bringing in projects, including some very interesting and challenging projects.

Cons

Poorly managed with high levels of infighting and petty bickering among upper management, leaving the rank-and-file to fend for themselves at best. No protection of workers by their supervisors who are more interested in short-term profits than long-term quality.

Women are second-class employees.

Pros

Relatively stable firm with a good reputation to those that do not work in the industry. Those men that play the game can make a good living.

Cons

Women are treated as second class, particularly in the Finance area. Pay is lower and respect is non-existent. They promote and pay based on your gender and who likes you, not how well you do your job. Work is piled on with no help provided until the employee is on the verge of a break-down. Corporate culture is toxic. The "Elite Spirit" in your Vision seems to translate to "Elitist"; if you're not an Arch or Engineer, you're nobody.
