Pros

I worked at Canon for several years. It isn't bad as far as call centers go. The managers I worked for were very supportive. There is opportunity for advancement. It is a professional environment where you will be treated with dignity. It is easy to monitor your progress so that you know if you are on point with your stats and if there is an error it will be corrected. The benefits are great. The package includes a healthy amount of personal days, sick days, and vacation days.

Cons

There are too many things which cannot always be controlled, which affect your stats. This, in turn, can affect your yearly appraisal. Employees work many of the holidays. No one is allowed to take of during the Christmas Season until after MLK day (except Christmas Day and New Years Day.)

Pros

Medical Insurance offered, but was very expensive, especially for the low wage employees.

Cons

Paychecks often incorrect. Payroll never corrected them for me. Poor management and middle management. Lack of air conditioning in office located in southwest desert climate. No bathrooms inside the companies office suite. Employee had to go to the lobby of this large building, shared with other business and visitors. This was quite a distance away from the work area or the break room, and every second of bathroom breaks counted against performance ratings unless you were off the clock for lunch.

Pros

Canon is a great company to work for with lots of benefits. Its good pay depending on your background. You have a lot of available assets to complete your day to day job.

Cons

Customer service just like anywhere else can be very frustrating, especially with tech support by phone. You can put in for vacation time on any requested day but it is handled by an automated system which can be a disadvantage to you depending on what department your in. Promotions are given based on interview performance more than actual job experience.
