In the Spokane office, the experienced Commercial management left a few years ago and were replaced by neophytes whose primary skills seemed to be projecting phony positivity to their superiors. It became a kind of "mean girls" environment and not about competence. The now-former CEO, Arne Chatterton, encouraged this kind of behavior. He dismantled what had been a healthy company culture under Peter Cazzolla and financial performance suffered. Now that Andy Doll has become CEO, things may improve--he does not manage by bullying and knows his stuff.
