Pros
Good discount. 50% off. But that is actually it. And I hate the product anyway.
Cons
TONS 1. Extreme amount of responsibilities, all seeming to be meaningless work. 2. They contradict everything they ask of you. If you try to explain the contradiction in order to get some direction they simply repeat the protocol again. Everyone is a robot. No thought process of their own whatsoever. 3. Extremely hypocritical. They are strict with deadlines for you but fail to meet any of the deadlines they set to complete things themselves for you. They allow only positive feedback, completely hindering your ability to improve the business you are in charge of. However they give nothing but negative feedback to you. When you have a success they either do not acknowledge it or tell you to not be happy about it because it should be greater. 3. In the interview they make you think you have a say in everything but in reality you have no say. They ask a million things of you and insist this is a "big girl" job however they are nothing but condescending and treat you like a child. Again, contradictory. What salary jobs do you know of that require you to make your months schedule a month in advance, make you clock in and out everyday including for your lunch break, and then make you send them a written form of your time punches every week? Another thing they fabricate in the in the interview. They say you make your own schedule. Sounds great right? It's not. They give you an insane amount of rules and restrictions to the point where this "perk" is anything but. 4. In the interview they explain that you make bonuses when you make and exceed plan. However what they don't tell you is they make plan so astronomically high that its impossible to reach it and receive your bonus. 5. When you work with a retail partner (department store) they actually require you to break rules set by the retail partners. They force you to obtain information that you are not allowed access to. I say force because if you do not do this they will fire you. When you explain that what they are asking is prohibited in your place of work they say that part of your job is to make connections so you can retrieve passwords. It's absolutely unacceptable that I go in to work every day looking over my shoulder, feeling very uncomfortable because I am being forced to break rules. And there is no doubt in my mind that if I was caught and reprimanded Michael Kors would throw me under the bus. So I am putting my reputation and rapport with my retail partner at risk every day. 6. If you want to work in fashion or have even the slightest creative bone in your body this is not the place for you. They are robots and expect you to be one as well. There is zero creative freedom and they micro manage you to ensure there is no deviation. Also the Michael by Michael Kors brand is atrocious. No woman with even the slightest amount of style would be caught dead in any of it. 7. They are blind to the fact that the brand is taking a downturn and refuse to hear any constructive criticism or feedback. When your work isn't up to par they criticize you even though you are telling them how to improve it. They act like stubborn, arrogant children who refuse to hear anything anyone has to say, even though they hired us to run a business. The list goes on and on.
