Pros

28 day rotating, 12 hour schedule. Plenty of vacation time. Safety is usually a high standard. Co-workers are pretty good for the most part.

Cons

Poor communication between salaried and hourly employees. Morale is generally low. Pay is substandard for mining industry. Rumors about shutting down constantly.

Pros

Good pay, acceptable benefits, friendly coworkers.

Cons

Utterly ignorant and incompetent management. Rampant favoritism and zero professionalism. No acknowledgement by managers for hard work but what can you expect when they are clueless of what they are managing. Laid off 40 salaried employees one morning with no notice by having local police escort them off the property.
