Pros

I've been an Enterprise Account Executive at CaptivateIQ for over a year now, and I can confidently say it was one of the best career decisions I've made for several reasons: 1. The people: The leadership team has made strategic hires in key roles that have transformed our approach to the enterprise market. That supporting cast is critical for closing complex sales, scaling the company, and ensuring customer success and happiness. The sales engineers are world-class — super knowledgable, great in front of customers, and always willing to help. Also helps that the team is a bunch of good humans I enjoy having an occassional drink or meal with. 2. The product: Our EPD team is delivering on all cylinders. We released 60+ new features in 2024 and 1 new product. Customers and the sales/CS team ask and they make it happen. We jumped to the top right Leader position in the ICM Forrester Wave this year for a big reason — customers love the product and our roadmap execution. This validation confirms what we already knew - we're not just participants in the commission management space, we're defining it. Enterprise customers immediately take us seriously when they see this recognition, which makes my job as an AE much smoother. 3. The process and openness for feedback: What impresses me most is how the company and leadership are open to suggestions and willingness to GSD. We’re not layers of stuffy management and weeks of pondering what to do. If there’s an issue, we solve it. If there’s a suggestion of improvement and it makes sense, we make it happen. If we need resources or help on a deal, people lean in. We’re all rowing in the same direction and it shows in the results. The compensation plan is competitive and truly rewards performance. Unlike other companies where enterprise sales can take forever to close, our streamlined processes mean I can hit my targets without unnecessary friction. If you're considering a role in sales here, CaptivateIQ offers the perfect combination of an innovative product, strategic leadership, and well-designed processes that set you up for success in the enterprise market.

Cons

Initially it was name recognition. The ICM space is old and has been led by a bunch of old guard companies that really have not done much to improve or innovate the space. That has changed since we were recognized as a Leader in the recent Forrester ICM Wave.
