Pros

Free food sometimes (if that even matters) Always changing Much respect for the CEO Smart co-workers on the BI & Reporting team Lower level managers tend to be professional and hardworking Enough time to look for another job

Cons

Always changing ... employees. Constantly and randomly firing qualified, experienced employees who have been at the company for weeks, months or years. I've seen plenty of ppl start on different teams and eventually get kicked out for no reason (except that someone who has the power to let them go feels like it), so It's hard to keep track LOL. Bad planning by higher management. Constantly changing their minds of how they want things done. No performance standards - a slacker would do well if he/ she hangs out with management for lunch or drinks. On the other hand you could be working your more than anyone and be treated like trash because you don't feel like hanging out with ppl from upper management. Don't expect to be truly valued - which is absurd for technology professionals in today's market.

Downsizing in waves

Pros

Free Friday lunch but they don't order enough. Food runs out before people in line get to the food...then they send out an email complaining that people are taking more than their share.

Cons

Steady downsizing is more frequent. The new seating arrangement is designed to micro manage it's employees. A manager has to sit the end of each row of workers. Felt like grade school. Gaudy star wars theme is everywhere .... looks like a teenager's bedroom.

Pros

The techs you work with are amazing, as are employees from other departments. Free food on Monday and Friday.

Cons

Our poor Managers are powerless and have contradicting directives handed down to them almost daily. You can't believe a single word that comes out of our Project Manager turned Senior Manager's mouth. She is on a short leash by our Director and will lie straight to your face if it serves her purpose, which it usually does. Our Director is a joke. He needs to spend less time being "Really excited" about "peeling an onion" and actually work on the department. The rotating door that he's set up for his employees is nauseating. Whenever he shows up in the office, someone is getting fired. He runs TS like a call center, WFO Schedules, low pay, and more emphasis on getting off a call than fixing the customer's issue.
