Great in spirit, difficult in execution.

Pros

You get to come across some great and wonderful people in both sides of the counter. The spirit of the company is great. Free shift drink and weekly coffee.

Cons

Pay and hours are terrible. Very high turn over. There are no mandated breaks and the labor policies make it near impossible to get scheduled one. The company continually puts out new and temporary product, goals, and more procedures and policies with little lead time, training, and usually no increase in pay or reward for extra work. The company constantly says they're committed to creating excellent customer connections but the never-ending talk of sales numbers and hounding to meet promotional goals shows the transaction is more important than the connection.

Pros

*Free 1/2 lb. of coffee every week *Gain knowledge of coffee and tea *30% employee discount

Cons

*Constant rollover *Strict District Managers that do not take the time to get to know the store or the employees and therefore, there is a strange atmosphere when the DM's are in the store *Unhappy managers - In three years working at one store I had four different managers and at one point we went over two months without any manager.

Pros

My boss is nice and awesome and is willing to work with your schedules or help you, but it is highly stressful and I am terrible at doing Bar so i am a bit slow there, the people are mostly nice and just really nice to talk to

Cons

There are no breaks unless you work more than 8 hours, and if you do a almost ten hour shift all you get is a measly 30 minute break whereas my other job would give you a fifteen minute break and a hour. everything needs to be done ten minutes ago sort of attitude, pay isn't the greatest and the tips can be iffy at times.
