Pros

Free half pound of coffee each week.

Cons

no loyalty to employees. I never heard a compliment on my work performance or any of my coworkers, even though we had no store manager for many months. Now a new manager and all of a sudden can't guarantee 20 hours (needed for my health insurance). Two years of getting up at 4:00 am, never late, which I can't say for the manager we used to have or shift supervisors.

Pros

World's best coffee is free to employees. Relaxed casual environment. Fun activities to do. Good benefits. They are a company with its core value on quality from the bean to the cup and they strive to attain the best. Seriously. They treat the coffee farmers and its customers well.

Cons

Information flow especially about fellow employees is very meager. Actually you don't find out about terms until you get cryptic responses back in email. Meetings, meetings, meetings are mostly a waste of time with too many people offering their narrow short-sighted advice. I have gone a year or two without my immediate managers even asking how I'm doing [with meaning.] Reviews are so bogus and seem to be predetermined.

Pros

Tips, Good regular customers, free coffee

Cons

No Communication at any level, especially from District Managers- Managers, I assume Senior Management is just as confused/lacking in communication. No clear path for promotion, kind of a joke when it comes to going for it. No incentive to move up to a store manager for current employees thats why they always hire outside people for the job and also is why there is such a high turnover for store managers. No life/work balance for managers, seeing that is depressing for the rest of the team and discouraging to move up within the company. Wish it was better, especially when it comes to living up to the values/mission statement they put out.
