Pros

Pay was decent. Benefits were just ok. Some very good & competent people amongst the different ranks. ESOP is not bad.

Cons

Senior management willingly looked the other way in regards to unethical, and potentially fraudulent behavior & actions. Extremely uncomfortable environment to spend the majority of your day. CE is, by far, the best performing BU of Watsco & the immense pressure from above is unbearable. Change is a four letter word. Live in a constant panic only concerned about current quarter results, with little concern for the future.

There is potential for the company to be great again.

Cons

Company is top heavy; way to many back office employees and not enough customer facing people make it very difficult for the rest to service the customers properly. Upper management is constantly in meetings and dictating policies but has no real grasp of the industry or tasks facing the company & customers. Very little reinvestment in company or it's employees; benefits constantly being cut with no salary increases for years, aging staff and facilities, little to no employee career development or education.

I am upset because after a long interview with 3 people, I waited for a follow up, and at least a rejection email. But no one bothered to let me know that they decided to go with someone else. I've wasted a lot of time waiting for an update, hoping to get the job (and being in need of a job as well). This is a large company and it's such a shame that you won't improve your HR department.
