Not enough prep time

Pros

Very good salary considering you don't need to be a certified teacher. Lessons and curriculum are written for you. You're supervisor is a great source of info and help. They will get you any supplies or materials that you can justify.

Cons

Paperwork is more important than your teaching. You are not paid enough for all the prep and paperwork. You are an at will hire. . It is difficult to achieve full time status. .You would need to teach an unmanageable 8, 10 or more sessions daily. In a real teaching position you would never teach that many sessions, and for each change of grade or subject you would get additional prep time.

Pros

Great starter if you are wanting an intro to the field of education.

Cons

Be warned that the school you are appointed to are told differently about what your role will be.
