Pros

HIgh energy and young sales force. Cbeyond is a company with an unbelievable training and sales model specifically for one call closes. Skills include, tie downs, holding people accountable, building return on investment, presentation skills and how to close.

Cons

everything you do will be micromanaged and discussed repetitively. your sales will be appreciated the day you bring them in but are forgotten about the next day at work and the pressure is re-applied. you are selling an outdated form of internet that is overly priced and for most people a poor business decision. You are expected to hit the pavement everyday and cold call 60 doors which is expected to yield 1 maybe 2 appointments. The company has a horrible reputation in the territories representatives have and you are more times than not escorted out of buildings or treated like trash. Management often treats you like a child when VP positions are filled by egotistical twenty something year olds who may or may not have a college degree. When I was interviewing I read negative reviews and figured it was people who did not make it at Cbeyond but now I have realized I was wrong and never should have worked their in the first place. In less than a year I saw over 50 people get hired and quit or get fired. high attrition rate due to poor employee treatment and outdated service you sell.

Pros

If you are new to the workforce then Cbeyond offers detailed training and coaching on how to sell. The pay is competitive and the commission structure is based on performance. The harder you work, the more you make (sometimes).

Cons

The managers are inexperienced college kids that may have had 2-3 good months at best, or are promoted because a bunch of people quit the company (to become a manager does not require skills at this company).
