Pros

Cbeyond's corporate culture is awesome! Everyone is pretty laid back and there isn't too much drama or office politics compared to a lot of places. Everyone, including all of the executives, even the CEO, are given a cubicle and no office. We have plenty of conference/meeting rooms as a side bonus of this policy, but its nice because it emphasizes the culture of "anyone can talk to anyone"..

Cons

As far as I can tell, there aren't too many. There are one or two groups/teams that I know who can be less pleasant to work for, but they are the exception.

Pros

it's a job and you get paid your fellow sales people are nice they promote within

If you enjoy spending needless hours stuck in traffic coming back to the office at the end of every day just so management knows you are working then this is the job for you. Micromanage is the mantra as they dictate every second of every day of your life, which typically starts at 7:30 and ends when ever they decide to let you leave...usualy after 5:30pm They have no respect for your ability to run your own business and subscibe to the policy of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" when it comes to the sales models. I actually feel bad for the sales managers who must stay in the office until every rep on their team reports back in. The TSR's are required to hit 50 doors a day and yes...they count cards. Don't let the energetic atmosphere fool you, high morale is the only way these branches stay profitable and ANY kind of negative thoughts or ideas are quickly stamped out. Since Starting six months ago I have seen...and no I am not making this up..20 people leave. Yes some should not have been hired in the first place but the others quickly saw the light and ran for the hills. Training classes start every month and if 50% of the newbies stay past three months it's considered a success. They subscribe to "success based freedom" which means if you sell three deals you only have to come back at the end of the day 50% of the time. Comissions aren't paid for up to three months after a deal is sold and if they can get away with not paying you what you deserve, you do not get reimbursed for mileage, or parking. Worst of all is the customers you call on have had so many other reps in before you they see you coming from a mile away, the phrase "put us on your do not call list" is said quite often. And before someone from corporate comes on here and discredits everything I say by claiming I couldn't hack it...I was the number one sales rep in my branch two months in a row.
