Pros

This job gives you a great oppurtunity to learn how to sell. While the job is difficult, they dont lie about that. The pay is great too. IF you work. All the complaints are from people who want an easy job with no responsibility. There is a huge wealth of information and tools available to any employee. They have the best implementation system for the product they sell. So you can rest your head on your pillow at night knowing that the product will work and help out the business owners you sell it to. The benefits are great and the environment could not be better.

Cons

The first 6 months require a pretty heavy dedication to the job. But since most of the employees are just out of college this shouldnt be a huge turn off. When you get the hang of it, the job does itself.

Pros

For an entry level outside sales position, Cbeyond can provide some excellent training and "trial-by-fire" experience, if you have the talent and work ethic. This position is definitely not for everyone, espcially if you do not have thick skin and tenacity, but for those willing to learn and work your butt off, it is a great place to make good money straight out of college and is an excellent jumping point into the rest of your sales career. The turnover rate is high, but mostly because they will hire inexperienced salespeople into a very tough sales enviornment. Also, best office culture for the 20-30 crowd...work hard, play harder. I worked there for 2.5 years, and they were some of the fondest of my professional career, but I saw a lot of people come and go that just couldn't hack it, or didn't care enough to try. If you can make it at CBeyond, you can make it anywhere.

Cons

Most people who start in outside sales don't know what they are getting into and think that just because they "like people" that they can sell. It is very much a sink-or-swim atmosphere, and if you aren't making your numbers, you won't last. On a daily basis, it feels like your territory is "saturated", but they can definitely be overcome. It is mostly outside cold-calling, and if you can't handle getting screamed at by a secretary or being escorted out of an office building by security for soliciting, then don't waste your time. You will definitely get your teeth kicked in, but if you can take it, you will do well.

Pros

Cbeyond gives you the opportunity to be trained in their sales model. It is a good job if you like cold calling doors all day. If you are money motivated you may be able to make a decent amount of money, but be prepared to have no social life or free time. If you like to be micro-managed and work 60 hour weeks then this is the career for you.

Cons

60 hour work weeks, COLD CALLING for 6-7 hours straight, micro management, immature management. Cbeyond trains you to work their sales model but they don't explain how to utilize it in the field. Cbeyond's management is way to aggressive and unprofessional. Before you sign up to work with cbeyond, look at the retention rate of employees within the branch.
