Pros

Cbeyond is a great place to start a sales career. It will probably be one of the hardest jobs you'll ever have, but if you work hard, there is much to be gained. There are very cool people that work there and you will most likely have a new group of friends. If you're successful, you can get promoted extremely quickly, but it's a brutal grind out there.

Cons

You will be micro-managed every day, there is a lot of pressure to perform, you'll work 10 hour days and be prepared for rejection

Pros

Benefits-PTO (when allowed to use it) sick days, health benefits

Cons

Cold calling, cold calling and more cold calling. Get yelled at and thrown out of buildings. Cbeyond is known for heavy soliciting and chances are your territory will have previously been hit by multiple reps (all that started and quit in the past 6 months) making it very difficult for you to get your foot in the door. High turnover... most people quit in the first 3 months because they realize what a joke this company is. The few people who stay with the company long term are the types who are only out for themselves... Since the retention is so low it is pretty easy to get promoted which means the managers are hired simply for being there, not because of their ability to manage employees.

Pros

Cbeyond provides a very aggressive sales model to teach young professionals how to make a sale. This job shows you how driven you can be and what you can accomplish if you really try.

Cons

They require twelve hours of work a day. There is absolutely no time for ANYTHING outside of work. There are activities and meetings after work and sometimes on weekends. If you do not attend you are pushed out of the team. It's good to be competitive, but there is a limit. They are over competitive. Walking around cold-calling for sometimes eight hours a day. Management constatly calling you to micro manage your performance and location.
