      Cbeyond . . . great opportunity not built for the long-term.

      Pros

      Company is in a growth mode. Good product set.

      Cons

      Difficult to work cross-functionally. Very little focus on the customer. Customer satisfaction not taken seriously. Very much a command and control company and always trying to figure out who to blame if things go wrong. This is particularly true on the Operations side. If you were not one of the early people in the founding of the company, you were pretty much an outsider.

      okay base 50,000 starting and decent commissions if you can get a sale.

      Pros

      A good starter job. You'll learn the basics of sales. You'll be trained well, which will help you in future jobs. Stick it out for six months if you can. People see that on your resume you stayed for six months and are impressed if they know the company.

      Cons

      They use mind games and treat their managers and sales people poorly. It's not a healthy environment on many levels. That's part of their business model is to churn out sales people.
