      Pros

      it is a very well respected hospital it has well known people it has well trained doctors it has good benefits

      Cons

      research is not up to par. needs a lot of work. Place basically ruled by MDs. junior scientists with low funding not treated well.

      Pros

      Well-established large institutions do provide some buffering from economic adversity. No general layoffs so far at Cedars-Sinai.

      Cons

      Large institutions are also bastions of cronyism. Cedars-Sinai is no exception. Unworthy promotions are demeaning to those more qualified.

      Pros

      The staff is very diverse and the hospital is always clean. You do not need to worry about getting laid off because the field is very secure and Cedars will do everything in their power to keep a job for you once you are hired. Patient care is superb and they are always doing events for the staff. They really do take care of you here when they can.

      Cons

      Time off is lacking. You might be able to start accruing it right away but your only receiving about 4 hours per pay check with 4 "floating holidays" through out the year. That is only a little over 3 weeks total for sick time and vacation days. You do have a separate sick time bank but are unable to use it until you are sick for 3 days straight and have used 3 days worth of vacation time.
