Pros

Celanese offers competitive salaries and benefits packages. They are very open to allowing to you to move within the company and work in different functional areas or business units. This makes Celanese a great place to expand your professional capabilities. The people are generally positive, professional and good to work with.

Cons

Cost reduction is always a focus. Many people stay on 20+ years and open spots for promotion can be difficult to find.

Pros

While you may read negative posts, times are chaning at Celanese. They are truly focusing on chaning the culture for the better by focusing on employee growth and improving the world.

Cons

There are still managers in the company that are refusing to move on with the culture change. Don't worry about those guys. You can easily rise above it and find a way to improve the culture yourself!

Pros

good Benefits, accessible location, flexibility, great compensation, awesome customers that are easy to work with for the most part. SAP system is great and rather easy to manage.

Cons

nepotism, relatives working side by side in the same departments. Rules are not equally enforced. Some sales representatives are great and others are Neanderthals that have a high sense of self worth and zero respect for the customer account representatives. Essentially you answer to these jerks because of the pedestal they are placed on, and without the customers they wouldn't have a job or a customer service rep to berate and chastise. In past jobs I would only deal with sales if a customer was at risk or to give a sales lead and they were always appreciative, not at this place. you cannot fart without their approval and you have the authority/value of a mail room clerk in this position.
