The job was presented to me as a sales position with earning opportunites that exceeded $4k a month. Most of your time around 90% involved customer service or technical issues. Getting support from your peers was not easy if it didn't involve a "sale" and if there wasn't anything in it for them- instead they use this as a opportunity to snag as many sales as possible while you are tied up. Commissions for accessories, mifi and home phone connections are NOT shared. You could literally work with a customer for 1-2 hours providing excellent service, replacing phones with insurance, technical issues etc for FREE while the next customer walks in and asks for a mifi resulting in a large NON share commission for the lucky rep that opened the door and $0 for the rep that has been working with customer issues. This environment breeds a lack of team support and a "look out for me" mentality. Drive time to your territory stores can be over 1 hour and your day could actually cost you more in gas then you made on your shift. Your schedule will rotate to the point where you are in the same store only once a week making it very hard to follow up with cllients the following day if you are scheduled across town or expect the customer to wait a entire week to see YOU on your next work day. Shifts are given to senior reps on a draft system and new reps take the scraps. Training requires you to EARN your dealer code with a sales point system - meaning that you sell for points for several days while your trainer makes your commissions on the sale. This approval can take some time and once you are approved it takes 2 months to receive your pay. Commssion here is a joke- you are charged for missing/stolen items and tracking them is near impossible with the number of reps that come and go in the stores.
