Pros

Fun people to work with. Team events were sometimes fun. Money was decent at times.

Cons

Where to start? Well now they are an actual company with employees instead of 1099 "employees." They have this board with VAPS which shows you what you have made for the month, except it's total BS. If the board says you made $4000, count on getting maybe $2000 of it after deactivations (will discuss next), missing accessories, misc. other BS charges and now taxes. Deactivations consist of a customer buying a phone from you (or whoever is working at that time with you) and not paying their bill, transferring their # to someone else's plan, losing the phone etc.... they will charge you THE FULL COST OF THE PHONE. They set this business plan up to favor only themselves. DO NOT listen to positive reviews on here, employees were encouraged to come on this site and give 5 star reviews because it had hit a 2.5, which is still above where it belongs. You must show up for your shifts even if you are sick, or find someone to cover for you. In the 1 + year I was there, they stole over $7000 from me for the things I have listed. You are also encouraged to screw over customers, we were told not to notify customers of their $50 credits toward phones, which in turn increased our commissions.Stay away or you will be sorry.

Pros

Good work enviroment. Hard work recognized.

Cons

They sell a dream to you when they hire you, telling you that you'll make 4k a month just sitting in the store, and 5-6k if your good. Cellular Sales takes on all the profit of a company yet is liable for nothing as you get charged FULL RETAIL COST when inventory goes missing (stolen, lost, etc.) on shift. If someone deactivates service within 6 months of you selling, you get charged back the commission. They have you on 100% commission that is split with everyone on shift, yet they overstaff stores that are already lacking in traffic, making days where you only make 50 - 100 dollars quite abundant. The regional directors make the same amount of money whether their is 3 people on shift or 6, the only difference is that the commission gets split between 6 people rather than 3. They do absolutly no marketing for the stores at all. the leads you get are the people coming through the door and when theres no traffic, you make nothing. its only the top 15% of reps who make around 4k, and thats only because they work 7-8 shifts per week. They consistently hire weak sales reps who "clerk the opportunity", and wonder why the numbers are down. Very little room to advance. No benefits.

Pros

Great money if you are willing to work 7 days a week, 12 hours a day and have no life

Cons

Cellular Sales makes you get an LLC and have you work as an independant contractor which means no benefits, no sick pay, no vacation pay. Worst part is the commission structure. When you get a customer to sign up for service they have to remain active on the account for 6 months which means if they don't pay their bill, you get charged back your commission PLUS the cost of the phone. So if you sell someone an iphone and they don't pay their bill YOU get $800 taken out of your paycheck. How fun is that to work for a company where you get to hand over your hard earned money to them?!? Verizon lowers their credit score standards all the time so you, the sales rep, take all the risk on these customer's with bad credit and pay the price while the owners of the company fly around in their private jets and have 2-3 sports cars each. These rich owners get richer and the poor sales reps can barely pay their bills. One rep didn't even get a paycheck for two months and had to PAY the company money instead of getting a check. I wish I knew then what I know now and I would have never wasted my time with this company. How they can legally get away with this is beyond me.
