Pros

The company "prides" itself on a 30-35 hour work week. They will tell you it's for family/work-life balance. It's ultimately for operating budget in which they don't want to pay you too much hourly, all of which is taken out of your commission.

Cons

This company is built on nepotism. Trust me when I tell you it's a cult. If you can work with married couples and extreme favoritism then try to do so at your own risk. The cons are so vast that it's difficult to cover all basis. Here's a start, this Company sells defective equipment. The inventory they do have is very limited and second tier products. As an employee you assume the risk for phones and accessories. In other words, if something is missing it's coming out of your check regardless of if you are responsible for it being missing/lost or not. The computer system is antiquated in comparison to any other wireless retail locations. You spend more time on paperwork than selling. You get locked out of a shift If your paperwork isn't submitted, often times even if it is. It's 100% commission for a market that has less than 10% market share. The store locations are strategically placed in locations that are rural to "corner" the market. They also charge in excess of $50 more than you pay for a phone at any other location. It's described as a "programming" fee. You are considered a "partner" with no management. However your will constantly be bombarded with performance "standards" and indirectly micromanaged. These are just a few nuisances in addition to the unprofessional manner in which they operate. Verizon corporate makes this retailer beg for any sort of operational clout. They then put it on the shoulders of their employees to dig them out!

Pros

Little to no manager involvement. Uncapped commissions. Work as much or little as you want. Straight commission. Great for young people that want to work nonstop to make 40-50k.

Cons

-Not a career. Little to no benefits. No vacation time. -No requests for time off. Everything is done by a monthly set schedule that you can get covered or swapped around. -Straight commission only. -Turnover is out of control. -Higher management just sees you as a number. Doesn't care about taking care of long tenured reps. -Company encourages reps to sell low end devices to increase profitability. Overcharges customers for data transfers. No integrity. -General Managers and Coaches jobs in Alabama are a joke. They are worthless. They get paid 2 to 4x more than reps and do less work on sales floor. GMs never work weekends and never handle customer concerns which should be their main concern. -Customer bill issues only get handled by Verizon account managers which can take up to 6 months to correct, meanwhile you still have to deal with the upset customer. -The company has been declining for past 8 years. But Regional Directors and Management will never admit it. They will tell you that commissions are as high as they have ever been. Yes. Maybe for them.
