      Pros

      New management team seems to be focused and will bring back growth The company made its number for the first time in living memory Seems that decoupling International from CL is working and the company looks to be investing Sense of purpose being restored Deadwood cleaned out and accountability is part of the culture

      Cons

      tough recent rounds of layoffs some miss-steps in reorganization Growth targets are steep Though cuts were necessary there are still some bitter old timers who hearken back to the" good old days" and they are resistant to changing anything!

      Pros

      Great content, which is recognized by the academic community. Large portfolio of databases & supporting technology. One of the few publishers that has both content and technology across all disciplines.

      Cons

      Service strategy non existent, poor employee empowerment (decisions are not taken timely and all pass senior management). Endless stream of emails as result of lack clear division of responsibilities towards customers and lack of structured approach to service management. Little customer support resources available.
