Challenging work in an interesting field.

Cons

No upward mobility. Management doesn't keep their word. Company asks more and more from you, outside your normal purview but will not promote or increase salary.

Pros

The building is cool. Most of the workers are good. The boat guys are cool.

Cons

Management won't let you do your job without getting in your way. So many middle managers. Boats are old and in disrepair. Never enough down time to repair anything. Just get the job done and don't worry that you are spilling oil out the fitting. Safety and procedures are a joke.
