Pros

The people generally on the same level as you are there to help the nest they can. There are some good people here, just none of them are up top.

Cons

Its a shamelessly unappreciative work environment, you could solve the companies problems in a day and you get nothing more then an "Oh okay." The systems are ancient, the management is so resistant to change its astounding, and everything must be done the old and most difficult way. I really cannot recommend working here at all, there's zero respect, zero appreciation, zero understanding, and absolutely zero opportunity for advancement

Pros

We could wear jeans on Friday (when royals played), donuts or bagels on Friday.

Cons

WOW! This section might be long. I'm unsure I can put into words the dislike I have for this company. It seemed like a legit company with all of the testing I had to do prior to accepting the job, but it was the worst decision I ever made. I worked in accounts payable. I simply know how the (so called) office area worked and nothing about the engineers. I will just start with my little things. The CFO is strange and will only talk to the supervisors. That wasn't a big deal to me because I've worked for attorneys and extremely important people, but I want to point that out because many cannot get along with him and quit quite fast. You're work area is disgusting. I understand it's connected to a shop, BUT when mouse feces and roaches invade your space, it begins to get questionable. They do not supply any utensils or plates/bowls for associates. The bathrooms rarely had toilet paper, soap, or paper towels. The office supplies ran out constantly, so some bought their own. I refused. I was honestly surprised, they supplied coffee for employees, but I believe it was only because customers. They had no IT dept. which I personally think is essential in a thriving company. There were only 2 people in HR and they didn't even know what was going on. I'm a person to follow guidelines and procedures, but anytime I'd ask, there wasn't an answer. I can only speak for accounts payable, but it's the easiest job I've ever obtained in my career. They have no clue how to actually operate, accounting wise. Turnover is outrageous! I've never seen a company this size, have so many employees just walk out. They think all the turnover is because the job is hard. Not at all. I personally, have excellent work ethic and work extremely hard at my job, but I tried to ask for something more and I received FILING. They code most everything to one account, 24500. Easy peasy. And, if you can match a check to a statement then you'll be golden. The CFO bragged to me in my interview about how smart he was and I definitely did not experience any of that. He wanted to take away printers because the ink was running out and costing money. I have to be challenged at work and I believe my daughter could do this job. They have zero appreciation for their employees and I mean ZERO. No raise, no bonus, no reviews, nothing. It was a complete waste of my time. I was miserable and extremely bored on a daily basis. If, you're considering an office option here, ask how turnover is, to see your work area, etc. They did lie to me, but just felt like I needed to warn all college educated people about this company.

Central Power Systems & Services Response

I understand that this is an incredibly delayed response. We are shocked at the conditions you may have faced during your time here. Early 2016, Central Power Systems & Services underwent an ownership change and the offices have dramatically changed from this experience. We hope you have had success in your career following.

Pros

The interview process seemed thorough. Small company so not corporate.

Cons

Small company so not corporate, which equals utter lack of procedures. I came here after much turnover and should've seen the writing on the wall. Those that stick around for the long haul are numb to the lack of respect by the owner and management.
