Where to even start. Unless you are desperate for a paycheck, steer clear. They will try and give you a large base salary to get you to work for them, and they will not deliver on anything they promise. They cycle through people like trash and do not care about the employees working for them.
-No matter what they say about "trying to change the reputation of Central", they continually screw customers over. Your job will be constant apologizing with no autonomy to do anything about it. They will overcharge over and over again, which cancels out having the lowest prices in the industry.
-They have a terrible reputation so everywhere you walk in to hates you right off the bat. This job is 100% cold calling and people say anything to get you out of the door.
-The computer systems are so outdated and slow it is embarrassing. Half of your job is battling the computer systems and the time it takes to get anything entered. The system as a whole is broken. You have to get pricing entered for anyone to ship with you, in order to get pricing you have to have a credit app (with bank account number), and at that point people write you off. The system is set up for account managers to fail.
-Nobody at HQ wants to help you out. Anything you try to get done will be a constant battle from pricing to customer service. Same goes with your manager, good luck getting any help or actual advice.
-They create and change goals with no explanation. When I got hired on, they said they would never raise a goal more than a bill or two, that is not true. It is a constant wild goose chase to try and hit your goal.
-Mileage reimbursement is $0.10...which barely covers a gallon of gas.
-Benefits are absolutely garbage. You are required to take days off for Christmas, New Years, and the day after Thanksgiving. You either have to use your vacation day or take it unpaid..and you are forced to take off. The health benefits are administered through a company owned by CT, so while you have access to the BCBS network, everything else is a cluster. From claims to prices, it is so terrible and expensive. No 401K match, no Direct deposit...!
-If you are a woman, you better have thick skin. Some of the things you hear you just have to shake your head. And they will 100% tell you to sell yourself as a woman to make the sale.
-Training for the 2 weeks in Michigan does not help at all once you are actually out in the job. It is pretty much a waste of two weeks of your life. If you have back issues schedule your chiropractor now. The chairs they have you sit in are from 1982 and will give you back issues if you do not already have them
-The list could literally go on and on, just don't if you do not have to
