Pros

If you enjoy having a sales territory and building a customer base, you will enjoy this job. Being able to meet customers on a daily basis and gain business is a great reward.

Cons

Very cut throat industry and all price driven. You are bascially a service where CTI can't compete with the 'good' LTL companies. CTI seems to change its service standards constantly. No commissions for hard earned revenue being brought to company. They need to go back to the days of the Independent Sales Contractor position when you could make some good money.

Pros

Good place to obtain entry level management experience. Regional Manager is very skilled and knowledgeable. Really not a lot of pros about working for Central.

Cons

Working 60 hours a week. Always hiring new drivers to replace drivers that couldn't take being screwed over anymore. No raises after 5 years with the company. When promoted don't expect much of any jump in an already below average competitive salary. One of the worst companies to work for.

Pros

If you do a good job, there is a lot of room for advancement with this company. As long as you talk to the right people. Fairly easy job and easy to learn if you don't mind the hours. Great place if your young, single and don't have kids.

Cons

Benefits are awful, they don't pay for anything. Basically they take money from your check for no reason. You are better off getting it on your own. No chance of a pay increase unless you move up and they will try to get you to do that as cheap as possible. They don't tell you the hours up front that you will be working because if they did no one would work for the amount of money they offer. Not really a good place to work if you have kids and enjoy spending time with them on more than just the weekend.
