Pros

If you find any then let us know.

Cons

- No Concept of organization you just wake up some day and find out any Software Engineer with zero management skills getting promoted to Engineering Manager. Only thing these Manager does is MICROMANAGEMENT and asking updates after every 20 mins to other team members without having any technical idea of that particular task. - No perks as compared to any other product based company/service based company (ex. food copons, parental insurance,etc)- Even any random startup provides you much better facilities. - No WHF allowance. - LTA and Telephone reimbursement are part of your CTC (huge part) which you will get at the end of the year only. Not included in monthly salary!! - No welcome kit or goodies as given by other companies - Employee insurance and gratuity is included in your CTC itself to make it look bigger amount. This is not the case with many reputed companies. - They do not give any food coupons - India unit doesn't get quality work, all the actual work is done by the US/Canada region. - No transport facility, No snacks - As the work quality is poor, you will not have any learning

We all love free goodies, snacks, coupons and extra perks! I’m sorry that we haven’t met your expectation in this area. Thanks to employee feedback like this, we have launched a new joiner welcome kit in Pune! As for benefits, we review Cerence offerings regularly to make sure we are competitive and continue to upgrade when possible. I‘m sorry that you were disappointed with the return to office plan. The global pandemic has been stressful to say the least and our India team has been a top priority as they were hit the hardest by Covid. These are truly unprecedented times. The wellbeing of our employees is of utmost importance and we revised our plans based on local conditions. In fact, we are scaling back our return to office plan entirely, in the best interests of our employees. We appreciate your candid feedback on your local manager. I have escalated this to HR leadership and encourage you to do the same. Our goal is to have an amazing culture at Cerence with employees who feel valued and rewarded.

Pros

There is no pros at this company, Very few managers will actually do the work and communicate to their employees. The only benefit is you can work from home even after the pandemic, and again that depends on your manager. I am just one of the lucky one.

Cons

I've been at this company for quite some time, I can see it deteriorate since the spinoff from Nuance. There is a lot of mismanagement, and last minute planning that overwork the developers. If there is a change of process or the workflow, managers would not let make you aware of this process, let you stranded off alone and let you deal with the crisis. One of my previous manager made a lot of fake promise and gaslighting you. This actually happen across all department. When you mention we should add unit, integration and end-2-end testing to a service that actually showcase to the customers so we won't see any hiccups during a demo, you are blatantly disregard of your opinion and order you to add features I dread with newcomers knowing there is a literally no documentation and on-boarding process is hard. I do hear complain from newcomers and that give bad impression on the company. Reviews that are coming from developers truly reflects the reality of this company. Many of my peers share the same sentiments. I can no longer recommend for this company, you have to fight hard to be heard. Loyalty is not rewarded and there is no recognition; it shows with lots of people leaving the company. 95% of management is all talk no show.
