Company with great technology/products and great people being run by indifferent higher management.

Pros

- Great talented and friendly people/colleagues. - Great work/life balance. - Great team managers. - Excellent tech-stack. Quite cutting edge. Work encourages you to keep learning! - Gives solid chance for having accountability and ownership. - In recent time the social committee in the Montreal office is doing a great job to keep employees engaged outside work. - Very nice office and in-office amenities (game room, free food, supplies, etc.)

Cons

- A sense of sheer lack of empathy from the higher management. Feels like they just don't care. - This year has been extremely unsteady for the company regarding attrition (voluntary resignations and layoffs). My team has shrinked like crazy. And hardly any attempts to backfill vacated positions. - The stock prices and company's performance in the market has been disappointing. - Recent mandate to return to office atleast 3 days a week. That too at the peak of Canadian winters. Again seems like the management is unaware of the current market trends and what the employees want. - Salary hardly competitive. - Other work benefits are WAY below market standards.

Interessting technology, diverse team, nice co-worker

Cons

24/7 without appreciation is the new normal, employees are only numbers and relevant to reach the next goal, managers promote a toxic work place and HR seems to be disfunctional or is part of the toxic situation. After spin-off senior employees were layed off or left voluntary, new exe. team only about numbers, tries to hold up the impression people are the most important in the company. During WFH in the past year no benefits received for using home IT and electricity, instead dictation to use PTO to go on Well beeing Weekends (6 in total), but not for everyone. Manager not always good people manager, no vision or ideas how to build a good team. Although the teams are very diverse, there need to be more women in the higher management.
