Job satisfaction all depends on the franchise owner

Pros

Good platform for doing estimates with their software, good, educational training online, able to back up their products, unlike some local, fly-by-night company.

Cons

No benefits whatsoever when I was there, no health insurance, no 401(k), much less matching, The local owner was a perfectionist and difficult to deal with. It was like walking on eggshells because of his nervous disposition, especially on Monday mornings. Other owners, I know and have met were just the contrary.

Sexual Harassment tolerated in workplace

Brought sexual harassment to the owner's attention, only to be told that the offender was "our best Job Site Supervisor" and he could not fire him. Owner's resolution was that the owner would be the only one to have contact with him. This resolution was never implemented and I was left to deal with the situation myself. Was told by the owner that due to my job title, he could not pay me for performing the work of the additional position of Production Associate, on top of my position as office manager, for 2 years. Owner is consistently demeaning to employees and painters creating an uncomfortable office environment. Owner claims transparency with business budget/profit numbers and how we are a team and we work towards the same goal. However, during a staff meeting, a staff member was talking about "our money" as a business concern and the owner interrupted with the statement of "who's money? MY money!" No real room for advancement Management provides contradictory direction Does not treat employees equally or respectfully No culture Micromanagement

Poor Ownership/Lack of Training

Pros

Paint crews are good and work fast. Good office space and location for convince of majority of jobs.

Cons

Very little to none in field training for new employees. Leadership will always find the negative in your performance instead of building confidence/seeing your strengths. Be careful before accepting job as what you are told will change throughout the year. May be displayed as a remote job but they will want to know your every move throughout the day. Two RSA’s were fired back to back years with less than 10 months at company. Very seasonal job and you will be to blame when business is slow during winter months.
