Pros

Good starter job if you can look past all the flaws. Benefits and base pay are alright. Coworkers are easy to get along with for the most part. Just don't question management on anything because that will not go over well.

Cons

Absolutely no work/life balance. You're expected to put all your time and effort into the company with little to no benefit to you. Extremely short staffed with no real plan for filling gaps other than "work together" despite the fact that everyone is already working extremely hard to get their own testing done. No room for growth despite them telling you in the interview the exact opposite. They will promise promotions but never follow through. They have no guide for different tech levels (supposedly they're working on this). The job description changes at the drop of a hat with little to no heads up or discussion as to how the increased workload will be handled. Terrible communication. No one follows through with anything, samples come late or not at all and it falls on you when testing gets delayed. Bad management would rather throw you under the bus than try to solve problems or get to the root of an issue. The lab itself is too small with no successful means of organization. They're trying to do too much with not enough space or equipment. Equipment is constantly breaking and out of service leading to a whole host of issues. Training seems to be last on everyone's mind. You get half trained on things and then tossed out to sea to sink or swim. I left with this job zero faith in the company and its management staff as well as outright anger for how they dismissed my concerns. I was told several times to just do my job and in the end was told I had a bad attitude for expressing valid frustrations. The turn over in the company as a whole is through the roof but in the short time I was in QC we lost 5 people and several more are on their way out. I enjoyed this job very much when I first started but the complete lack of appreciation quickly led to burnout and animosity. I wouldn't recommend this job to my worst enemy.

Pros

Good products and generic drugs

Cons

Management team is out of touch. Very aggressive sales goals. Commission only on select products in very few qualified accounts. Current culture is bad.

Pros

Acquiring knowledge of the pharma industry was a big plus. Pay is decent and time off was good. The lab and department experience was the only good thing about this job.

Cons

SEVERELY understaffed. I'm gonna blame the HR department for not viewing our positions as critical enough to back fill. I will blame the management of the quality department for not doing more to keep existing, good employees. Including myself, 6 people have left the department in past 2 years and those holes exists today. Training and clear exceptions for job roles were lacking due to keeping up with people constantly leaving. Playing catch up in the department existed in almost EVERY capacity. Lots of secrecy in terms of promotions and personnel relationships in the department which lead to not trusting coworkers and management. It's was like being in high school again and experiencing all the worst parts over and over again everyday. Bad management lead to my job seeking and ultimate resignation. There is NO clear path for promotion and the requirements change on a whim. Again, this more of a company issue and less of a department issue. IF YOU MUST WORK HERE, THIS IS A STEPPING STONE JOB. GET EXPERIENCE AND HAVE ZERO EXPECTATIONS FOR ANYTHING MORE. If you have this mindset, you will be happy and fulfilled. Learn from my mistakes and lower your expectations.
