Incredible Mission, But Room for Improvement

Pros

All these other reviews are so extreme, but I really don’t know why. This is definitely a fast-paced environment with really high expectations, and there are plenty of things they get wrong. But there’s also more to like than hate. 1. I guarantee you will never work with smarter people than you will here. 2. No matter what job you have, you are genuinely helping at-risk kids. The company has incredible outcomes for their clients, and you get to be a part of helping them heal. If helping people motivates you, you’ll love it. 3. The company is growing, it seems financially stable, and you don’t have to spend every day worrying about getting laid off. 4. If you’re hard-working and know how to get stuff done, you’ll do well. 5. The leadership team seems to genuinely be listening. I feel like they’ve responded to our staff surveys and are working to make it better. Things don’t change overnight but at least it’s getting better.

Cons

1. PTO and work/life balance aren’t great, but the balance seems to be getting better for most people if you can set boundaries. 2. The company does a good job of sharing the wins and keeping us close to the mission, but could do a better job of showing the long term vision and how we’re going to get there. 3. Just because you’re smart doesn’t mean you get to be a jerk, and there’s a few smart jerks for sure. 4. You’ll be really sick of hearing the word “KPIs.” It’s good to set expectations but this feels like micromanagement. 5. The recruiting process could definitely have been more honest and transparent. I still would have taken the job, but at least I would have known what to expect. I definitely felt like I had to adjust my expectations after I started. 6. There’s a weird mix of banking people and healthcare people, and it feels like the banking people have more sway. 7. They’re not great at promoting from within, and raises were pretty low.

Pros

None maybe the free snacks but even that’s sub par

Cons

Toxic, way to focused on KPIs and half of them aren’t even realistic, scared for my job on a weekly basis because of it. Management likes to create policies but then not have them in writing or even tell you what they micromanagement is so high and way to controlling forget having appointments or a work life balance. They want to know where you are every second of the day even on your lunch or if you’re clocked out for an appointment . They tell you false information to get you in. Moved from a three day work week in office to a 4 day work week this place will be fully back into the office in no time. Owners are a bunch of trust fund babies that have no clue.
