The charter school industry has a lot of money to spend on IT.
Cons
Insane hours. Expect 10 hour days minimum (9am to 7pm). Taking days off is discouraged. Maybe you can take a half day off here and there if you make it up on the weekend. Absolutely no taking time off during the summer. I had to cancel a summer vacation because of the intensity over the summer. The summer is the only time their clients (public schools) can do IT projects. Charter Tech underpays compared to the industry. You can make 25% more anywhere else and work less. Massive turnover only makes the job harder. As soon as you get someone trained they are out the door.
