Terrible place to work, really.

Pros

+ free lunch if you like waiter.com + great view of local regional airport + feeling of safety and security behind TSA-certified security apparatus

Cons

- Your hours in the office are tracked, even though you are an exempt employee - Culture is cheap, prepare to get screwed on travel, bonuses, and stock - Many new employees get desktop computers (who does that these days?) - High attrition in marketing and sales - Marketing is poorly managed, under invested and way behind the times - Employees are not empowered to do anything

I don't understand why people work here

Pros

Good work/life balance Free lunch Free trip to Israel! Most of the employees (non-upper-management) are good at what they do

Cons

No telecommuting allowed, even checking email from outside the office is a hassle Company is absurdly bureaucratic, down to timing when salaried employees clock in and out. The issue tracking system is used for metrics and constantly gamed by everybody involved. Company is too cheap to get developers standard and decent tools, like large monitors and modern computers. Absolutely no concern for employee productivity. Dogfood is a way of life to an absurd degree. As in, you might not have any access to internal network resources all day because we're dogfooding a buggy firewall build. Very top-down management. Much time is wasted in building and supporting prototypes and mockups and intermediate builds so that the VPs can say that they are terrible. They are the only people whose opinions matter. Products end up getting shaped to meet the needs of the Check Point leadership and not of the broader user base. Weak engineering culture, due to the way projects are managed. Hard to take pride in one's work given the caliber of product turned out and the level of support provided to customers.

Team Leader in Check Point

Pros

Very nice people working in Check Point up to group managers and above. Give good opportunity to starters to start their careers in global company.

Cons

The management (group managers and above)don't know how to treat employees, no human skills at ALL!!! VERY chip on salary, give about ~50 less then the real market salary because they think you need them in your CV. they know you will leave them after 2 years ( 30% leave after 2 years -real inside statistics) for another company so they don't give the real marked salary because they know that most of the employees are "temp" for a bout 2 years.
