Pros

Successful company with good products. Good salary and benefits but most companies here in Silicon Valley will offer the same and many times more than what is offered here.

Cons

The company is managed out of Israel by people who lack basic people skills. Everyone's time is monitored while in the office on a weekly basis but nothing is done about the amount of hours worked while on vacation, holidays, weekends, etc.

Pros

Free food. Regular happy hours. Great training in various products.

Cons

Micro management on every level, picture the TPS report scene from Office Space. Managers who have sold their souls to the devil. Survey results are king and may not matter when it comes to review time. Do not expect a raise, do not stay long enough for it to matter.

Pros

If you can handle the stress this will get someone with the training but little to know actual experience in the IT Security field. Free training, free Check Point certification for their products

Cons

Be aware that you will be working doing help desk support in what is basically a call center. With all being a call center implies. US TAC management doesn't like to hear it called as such, but when the employees are reviewed on call times, resolution, number of calls, and customer satisfaction surveys, it's a call center. Anything less that a 10 out of a 10 scale on the customer satisfaction surveys is considered unacceptable to management, since their bonuses are based on the surveys and the other aforementioned metrics. And only a select few hear even get any bonuses at all. Promotions can happen often, due to the turnover, but don't expect a raise. Promotions are usually lateral and decent raises are only given once a year and only to half of their employees. Raises are done on a ranking system just like being in a graduating class in high school or college. Your raise is based on where you rank with your peers, not with the quality of your work. Even if you've been getting A- on your work, but you're in the lower 50 percent the raises get lower and lower until you get to the bottom and those people get no raises. Pay is about a third or more less that industry standard. They know that once you get the experience and certs from them, you'll be able to leave getting a job for double the money or more.
