Pros

Hybrid work model, mostly from home if you want

Cons

There is no real software development work, all just patches on legacy code. Product management is inexistent. You won't code so your skills will deteriorate, making it harder to find a different job. Benefits are awful - salary not competitive and 10bis does not cover even half a meal. Juniors should stay away if they want to learn anything, people that just want a salary with very little work should apply immediately.

Pros

- People are nice - Office is not an open space (each floor is divided into small rooms for around 3 people) - Working hybrid twice a week

Cons

- Working with an unmaintained, outdated, horrendous legacy codebase - Lots and lots of bad practices - No product management, which means you'll do both.. - No QA in some teams which means you'll spend your time firefighting bugs and production issues - Lousy benefits: barely any employee welfare, low 10bis, not enough kitchen supplies, gift on Rosh HaShana was a cheap bottle of wine and honey.. - Company always trying to be cheap in general - Bad working conditions: No macs, company forces you to work via Remote Desktop app called Citrix instead of locally (which obviously has issues absolutely all the time)

Blatant difference in treatment. Terrible management.

Pros

Excellent pay and benefits. Fully remote. Some nice people within the company. Global company.

Cons

Terrible communication from HR and other important departments. Took them 3 weeks to send me a box to return my laptop. Then a month after I sent it back, they sent me an email claiming they never received my laptop and asked if I needed a box to ship it in (they literally didn't know if they had sent me a box or had even communicated with me). Let me preface this by saying when I was hired on, they knew I only spoke English. Further, there was a very clear divide in treatment for non Israeli employees that are within Israeli departments. Management refused to provide important work documents in English over half the time. Management uninvited American employees from important meetings so they could hold the meeting in Hebrew. They would "sum" the meeting afterwards which was roughly one sentence for every hour the meeting was. Management was constantly late to meetings (20+ minutes) but then would cancel a meeting if you were 3+ minutes late. Management would send pertinent emails in Hebrew and not translate into English. The entire department was behind in metrics that we were graded on but I was the only one who was scolded for being behind. Coworkers would ignore you if you messaged them in English asking for training/help/assistance with a task. When I tried to discuss what I believed was a difference in treatment, I was ignored and told it was my fault. Eventually I formally requested to have training documents and meetings translated into English so I can have the same information as my peers. I was terminated within two days after requesting that. The difference in treatment is draining and miserable. It'll never be worth the money because you'll be treated like a second hand citizen and never respected. Don't be fooled by the pay as you'll have to bend over backwards for the company and still get treated like dirt. Run away.

Pros

New North American Leadership is focused on doing things the right way and taking care of their employees, partners and customers. The Executive Leadership takes feedback and implements changes. Check Point does a good job of providing the right work life balance. The company feels like a "small company" feel despite being a larger company and they are very focused and passionate about providing security and doing things the right way. Your onboarding training is time consuming but very good. The company provides a lot of resources to be successful in your role and on a consistent basis. The benefits are pretty good.

Cons

Despite having superior products, the company lacks brand awareness. Operational changes take some time because a lot of back office support teams are based in HQ which hinders your ability to do your job with the time change. Also, the salary pay could be better.
