Pros
Very stable company with excellent security products. Great relationship with local management team who will do all they can to support me meeting my goals and quota. Lots of opportunity to grow your knowledge in the security field with plenty of training opportunities.
Cons
Low pay, well below average for the position and what competitors pay. Hard to understand comp plan with lots of caveats that make it difficult to get paid on what you actually sell. Limited marketing, the sales people seem to be the marketing. Getting the help you need from corporate to help sell is a challenge at times and lots of hoops to jump through.

Peers and local US Leadership is great. Training opportunities are abundant. Good work life balance, and company has handled COVID very well. Maybe a bit over-conservative, but probably the right call when dealing with people's health and well-being. Decent 401k matching and Employee Stock Program, as well as financial wellness programs/webinars to help employees in that area. Well respected name in Cyber and Leader in many areas. Many new initiatives and Products that seem promising. Breadth of Portfolio is impressive. Infinity ELA program could be a game changer, when and if, it takes off. Exciting things look to be brewing…
Cons
Too conservative, which could be hindering overall growth. Marketing could be better. Pay is below market average, and annual merit increases are low and not guaranteed. Takes time to understand the Culture and process of doing Business. Way of doing things could be more streamlined and less kludgy. Technology is solid, GTM strategy and local support is lacking.

-Great product portfolio with lots of selling potential -Family-like atmosphere with incredible work life balance -Open to career progression internally -Open access to communication with development -Anyone can make an impact. Taking initiative on your ideas will be h -RSUs and strong stock program Overall I love my career at Check Point and hope to stay long-term. Despite some cons that will always be present in other organizations of this size, I would not want to be anywhere else.

We’ll budget company, excellent vibe, vey good methodologies ( for example for planning and measuring projects), a great playground for developing and innovating in various areas in development and Cyber. A great school for juniors as well as seniors, many options for career development. Working thousands of customers it’s also a big advantage. Also they pay very well at the bottom line (salary, bonuses, RSUs) Also a lot of investment is done for management courses and skills

Pretty good amount of holidays and PTO. 401k and benefits seem to be better than average. A good amount of autonomy. Pretty good and friendly local feel. Company seems to care about you as a person, when I had COVID early on they checked on me regularly and gave me as much leeway as I needed. I've also seen them create some positions and also find ways to hold on to some people who have been here a while and maybe they could have gotten rid of.
Cons
Pay is highly variable, they like to lowball newcomers, especially with light/no experience. It does seem that CP is one of those places where you need to establish yourself for a while, leave, and come back to get the good pay. The commission plan is INCREDIBLY complex and will take you years to understand, if ever. This is not exaggeration. It is my opinion that the only reason to make it so complex is to make it difficult to make your numbers or obfuscate some things. You cannot reliably predict the commission and you sometimes get behind or ahead and end up owing them money. Also, the quota is very very difficult to reach. I would estimate only about 1/3rd of people make their quota in any given year. CP also is a tough sell. It is expensive comparatively. And it suffers from some staleness, not so much on their products but on their marketing and general sales gameplan. The competition is fierce and they are eating CP's lunch pretty regularly. And again, it is not really an issue with the technology or the security effectiveness. There's also a little bit of a hard time figuring out "what's the next step" for someone who wants to climb the ladder.

Takes great care of employees, very good benefits, some of the best products on the market, and always a very stable company with a "steady Eddie" stock history! Best procurement consolidation play on the market today! Their US West Management Team is awesome! Some of the best in the market today!
Cons
Pay has historically been low, causing a lot of employee churn. This has definitely changed for the better in the last 1 1/2 years, but remains an issue with people hired in the last 2-4 years. High-level marketing materials are often too technically inclined and often miss "The Why."
