Big problems with people ops

Pros

They rely mostly on Uber to make money, so as long as they do, Checkr does.

Cons

High attrition, dog-eats-dog environment. 100% of the HR (People Ops as they call it) have either resigned, got fired or moved to another department. It's tough with a leadership interested only in numbers, to work for the part of the company whose objective is to show otherwise.

-Checkr has the most engaged employees of any company I've worked for -Diverse workforce that is trying to be more inclusive every day -Mission driven organization that lives by its values -Focus on reform of the way people use background checks -Disrupting a stodgy industry -Great perks like meals, awesome snacks, beautiful office, massages, and more

-Sometimes long hours -Regular startup growing pains

Super diverse workforce Passionate employees - really care about the product, customers, and mission of the company Transparency from top to bottom - executives open and honest about everything Great perks, lunch/dinner provided daily, group lunches that are expensed every other week. Very collaborative environment Giving back to community through driving awareness and developing programs around second chance hiring for those with criminal backgrounds

No real WFH flexibility yet, although it sounds like that is coming
