Pros

I've worked at Cheetah for over 10 years and can honestly say that our Glassdoor ratings don't accurately reflect the experience that I and the vast majority of others here have had. My hope is that this is a bit of a reality check for what it's really like to work here. This place is full of amazing & talented people that do ridiculously impressive work for our Clients every single day. This is such a cliche, but it's true...every morning (ok most mornings) I truly enjoy coming to work. I work with a team of incredibly motivated & hard-working people who are constantly pushing each other to get better and to further their careers, while not forgetting to have fun along the way. I also work with teams across the business and am constantly impressed by how genuine everyone I meet is and how passionate they are about their work here. IMO, the reason this place has always been special is that we have an incredibly solution-oriented culture. We will literally do whatever it takes to make sure that we deliver on what our Clients are looking to achieve. It was that way when I started in 2007 and it's that same way today. We have a Product that can actually do what we say it does (unlike our competitors) and we have an incredible amount of expertise in our Services & Success org. We have a massive client list of huge & exciting global brands. Overall, this is a great place to work with a ton of opportunity to grow. Work/life balance (outside of the never-ending Slack) is flexible. Compensation for the most part is on par with other market leaders. Offices are state of the art and located in amazing places around the world.

Cons

Since being divested from Experian in 2017, Cheetah has been a melting pot of 3 leading tech start-ups from the early 2000s; CheetahMail, Exact Target, & Responsys. This has had it's pluses and minuses. Anyone who works here would admit that the bringing together of these 3 unique cultures was completely bungled in the beginning. Executive leadership came in and ensured that low performers were let go (which was needed) but in doing so there were a few big misses and some really solid people were let go in the process. This was avoidable and very poorly managed. A few friends and co-workers who were doing great work were sadly let go and that left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. Glassdoor has quite obviously captured all of the sentiment surrounding this so I'll leave it at that. But we do have to move past that, and again this doesn't capture the heart and soul of this company; the bottom-up, do-whatever-it-takes, relentlessly solution focused Cheetah work family.

Pros

Some of the legacy employees, who know what once worked and made the company very successful, are great. They actually have significant knowledge of the products and know what they are doing compared to the ones who have shown up in the last couple of years. Flexible about working from home, depending on your manager.

Cons

Constant lies told to employees around the company's stability, punctuated by now regular mass layoffs. Poor (if any) improvements to core platforms. Favoritism breeds contempt and indifference, but management's desire to make legacy employees extinct in favor of old Exact Target cohorts means that they don't actually care about anyone but their "family." You're basically working for a family business now, and it's made very clear that you're not a member of the family unless you came from Exact Target. Outrageous egos/arrogance of the top-level executives coupled with their vacuous leadership will ensure the company's (likely imminent) failure. CEO loves to declare that the company will triumph over all rivals, while clients and quality staff leave in droves.
