Pros

Chef is an innovative and progressive company filled with bright people making and supporting incredible software. I am continually impressed by the level of transparency in leadership. Each individual's opportunity to contribute is clear and empowerment is not just a buzzword. The HQ offices in Pioneer Square are a-ma-zing.

Cons

As with any startup, there are occasional growing pain type things. However none of this falls into the dysfunction category and there is a sincere effort to learn and improve at all levels in the company.

The culture fosters creative thinking, empowers employees to do meaningful work, and is at the bleeding edge of organizational and technical practice.

Cons

I don't really have much to say in this regard. When issues arise I've been given autonomy do what I think is right.

Chef is truly one of the rare and special opportunities I hope everyone gets to experience at some point in their career. Great culture, great people, great product and a great time. Chef is perfectly positioned at the nexus of New IT and is genuinely bringing value to many of the world's most admired companies as they transform to this new era. I have a blast with everyone I work with. I respect and value our leadership team and the values they have put in place for Chef. Compensation is excellent and opportunities for advancement in accelerated timeframes are there for those that work hard to earn them. Benefits all around are excellent.

Cons

None. I feel Chef is one of the most forward thinking companies in addressing the realities of the modern workplace.
